Workshop at Palmetto Bluff Art Loft
October 5 - October 7
Slip trailing is a process that can be used to create complex layered surfaces on clay. It can add tactile, as well as visual depth to your work. Workshop participants will learn how to mix colored slips, transfer images to leather-hard surfaces, and practice the process of slip trailing. They will also learn a process using plaster for making ornamental pieces that can be used to create jewelry, and a basic technique for finishing jewelry pieces. Students will gain confidence in working with slip in a variety of ways to embellish their work. All levels of students are welcome.
